Since 2010
The original Women´s only Kiteboarding Camps Company since 2010
Kite Sisters born with a dream in 2010: promote a male dominated sport as kitesurfing between the female community. It was hard at the beginning as there was lot fear and preconceptions between the female community but, with years passing by and Kitesurfing becoming a safer and more popular sport, we learned and improved the services that we were providing and overturn all our previous experience in Marketing, PR, Advertising and logistics to deliver the standard and concept of Camps and services that we provide today.
2009 Following the dream
After years in the Advertising, PR, Marketing and International Shipping Industries; we change our lives and chased our dreams: we opened our first Kite School in famous Cuesta del Viento - Argentina - a stunning spot on a windy lake up in the mountains and with a stunning view of the Andes Cordillera.
2010: Kite Sisters was born
The idea was born: Kite Sisters. In our second season and seeking to have more women in the water, we challenged ourselves to get together all the female riders in one event and organised the first Girl´s only Kite Camp in our local spot. Word is out!
2011 Second Women´s Kitesurf Camp in Peru
September 2011: the second but first week-long Kite Sisters Camp. 15 women from different countries flew to Peru for a female empowering week. The dream, the idea and the spirit of Kite Sisters was reflected on every assistant during that Kite Camp: helping, encouraging and empowering each other, pushing the limits not only of our own Kiteboarding level; but the presence of women in a male-dominated sport.
2012: New destination added - Belize -
March and April 2012: We launched our first Kite & Yoga Camp in Caye Caulker - Belize - with 2 groups of women. We traveled and lived in Tulum - Mexico - dreaming about opening our new destination in this breathtaking beach on the Riviera Maya.
2012: From the Caribbean to Morocco
September 2012: after 4 months living in windy Essaouira; we launched our third destination in this exotic moroccan city. Many experiences, and of course, plenty of wind!
2013: North Shore Peru & Tulum Camps
2 more Camps are added to our Calendar: Wave Riding Camps in North Shore Peru and Tulum, Riviera Maya... We are growing and receiving women from every corner of the world!
2013 First World Tour
We launched our First World Tour, with an annual schedule including all the destinations and kiteboarding Camps organised for that year. We started to offer new and safe ways for our sisters to confirm, book and pay for their travels.
2014 Moving to a high-end concept
We reorganised our Camps, improved our services and modified the logistics. We had a vision: being what Kite Sisters is nowadays.
2014: New destination Dominican Republic
In May 2014 we organised our first Kite, Yoga & Surf Camp in Cabarete, Dominican Republic; adding the last and final destination of our annual Calendar.
2015: 12 Camps Around the World
12 Camps around the world and more than 70 new Kite Sisters. We keep pushing, traveling, teaching and focusing on offering each Camp better services and unforgettable experiences.
2016: 12 Camps, 95 Sisters, 6 Destinations
The word is out and Kite Sisters is hosting 12 Camps and a total of 96 travellers per year! More challenges ahead but with the same spirit.
2017: We beat our own record
13 Camps, 101 Sisters, 6 Destinations. We became a reference for the Women's Kiteboarding Community. More women are being introduced to Kiteboarding thanks to our Camps.
2017 Slingshot Kiteboarding our new sponsor
We signed a partnership with Slingshot Kiteboarding as our new sponsor. Our clients will learn and kite with the best Kitesurfing gear in the market.
2018 The Year of Change
With an average of 14 Camps per year and more than 100 travellers; it was time to reach our vision. Our services moved to the next level and we created high-end, deluxe and personalised service with an international Crew of the best professionals.
2019 Mystic Boarding is on board
We signed our sponsorship with Mystic Boarding America, prime brand of Kitesurfing accessories with the best models and designs for female riders.
2020: 10 Years of Kite Sisters
Our 10th Anniversary is here! We are thankful for all the women around the world who have trusted and travelled with us these 10 years. We are here thanks to you!
